i cant believe it is friday already. which makes sense since i was out from work on wednesday, but it still seemed like a short week.

M's mom drove up for a play they're going to go see tomorrow. but tonite, we went to watch the Holidazzle parade. The Holidazzle parade is basically a parade of lights, which goes down the main 'mall' street in Minneapolis. various companies sponsor floats and have volunteers who come out, get dressed up in costumes and walk / ride during this parade. Each costume is lit up with lots of lights, and its a really cool parade to see. really Cold too. as in, tonite was about 10°F with about a 30 mile per hour wind. i dont know what the wind chill factor made it, but it was DERN cold. but it was a nice parade.

then M's aunt (who was with us) said she needed to go get groceries, so we trucked over to the Lund's Grocery store in uptown. Lund's is a nice store, and the one in uptown used to be a really gross store. they've redone it and added a lot of nice things, so there are a lot of the 'uptown' types who go there.
uptown is a section of Minneapolis that has a lot of younger people, and some of the artistic/musician types. so the clientele of this store was very hip. i mentioned to M that this definately seemed like THE place to go shopping... i noticed lots of single people shopping, which in retrospect was strange considering it being a friday night and all...

i'm beginning to wonder if i'll ever talk to THE GIRL again. its been quite a while since we've had any quality time together, and it is beginning to bug me. shes had a LOT of stuff going on, what with her moving and then issues with her parent's computer and her grandpa being really ill. so i'm totally understanding that i'm a low priority. i think it might change cuz of some developments, but we'll see. i really do miss her a great deal.
i've been talking to GOOD WITCH a bit this week, we've got plans to do something tomorrow night after i have dinner with M and her family. i cant recall if i mentioned, but we're officially 'friends' now. i didnt fall into the 'dating' or 'men she was looking to fall in love with' categories. which isnt all that bad since i was sidetracked by SPAETZLEGIRL.

speaking of the cold, i should get to bed since its quite late (1:42am) and i should be getting my rest.
