had a really bad scare tonite on the way home from happy hour. i hit a dog. yup. with the new car. i hit a male malamute named yakut. hes fine. a big ole resilient dog. his owner had him off leash, and he went bolting out in front of my car. i popped off some little metal grille thing from the bumper which i have to go retrieve tomorrow, but otherwise no damage (physical) to doggy yakootie. (i dunno how you spell it) i stopped, got out, and the dog was runnin over to his owner. then he started growling at me, so i squatted down and said "are you ok buddy?" and he came over, and licked my face. he is a beautiful purebred. nice too. i'm really happy he's ok. i just hope his silly owner learns to keep him on leash.

in other news, went to a happy hour to watch the vikings / lions game on tv. got to see my friend K who left my company about 6 months ago. she rocks. turns out she also left her husband about a month after she left our company. talk about change in lifestyle! i'd date her, but i'm probably not her type. plus, shes lookin for a sugar daddy. her quote was "i married for love, now i'm lookin for a sugar daddy."
