well work was work. i talked to my boss while we were in vegas, and he asked
that i wait it out 6-12 months. i dunno what hes expecting to happen, but i
know that things will. i didnt think he did though. i think i can do it.
first, i asked that we make very clear what i'm supposed to be doing so i can
make sure i dont do the stupid project they want me on. so tomorrow we do that.
today was "prepare for parental visit" stuff after work. i went and did the grocery shopping for the big thanksgiving meal. i think its gonna be a new tradition to do thanksgiving up here. last year i did it, and maybe next year my sister and her family can come up here also. i am doing a turkey breast this year, since i still have about 8 pounds of frozen turkey from last year. its a turkey that has a pancetta stuffing rolled into it. looks and sounds yummers. the meal is simple and should be: hopefully it works out. i also did my minimal amount of cleaning the house - vacuuming the tumbleweeds of dog/cat hair, clearing off the dinner table. although i know my parents will complain about my cleaning, and my cooking, and of course, my weight. |
