Las Vegas... Well, now that i'm back in minneapolis, vegas seems so long ago,
and far away. far yes, long ago, no. i guess i wasnt all that surprised by
all the extravagance, and so forth. what did surprise me is that there werent
that much in the way of showgirl type things. all the shows in the big hotels
are all family type shows. or at least the big new hotels. the older ones,
still have the showgirl revue type shows. but we didnt go to any of those.
kinda weird... i went on a big excursion to vegas and didnt see any 'adult'
entertainment - even though AdultDex was going on. AdultDex is like Comdex
(where i was) and its been going on at the same time as Comdex and also in
vegas its whole life. its the adult entertainment conference...
all in all, i guess i found las vegas to be a nice place to go and see some kickass shows. i'd like to do more in the non-'strip' part of town though. and also try out some more local restaurants, other than the touristy stuff. i also would liek to see the downtown casinos just for some variety. today was spent hanging sheetrock at a friend's house. tiring work, but not all bad. then i blew off grocery shopping (t-giving shopping no less) for hanging out at another friends, and picking his brain on how to do some low level techy stuff that i am gonna do outside of work, but for work. aka, i'm doing some work on the side, that wouldnt be allowed as part of real work... more politix related crap. oog. its raining now. its not supposed to rain in november. its usually snow. |
