the world is not enough

today i was in phoenix. then i was flying back home to minneapolis. 3 hours in a plane is just too long. but i've done worse. trans atlantic, trans pacific, trans caribbean. oh well. it sure was nice to be in the warm sun in phoenix, and las vegas. especially when i stepped off the plane in mpls and felt the 39°F weather. but it feels even nicer to be here at home.

of course, the work laptop i was using on the trip was way nicer than this one...

tonite, i got home, and went to see the new bond movie. its cheesey, but then its supposed to be - its a bond flick. i like it. but then, i think they should bring michelle yeoh back. she was the chinese agent in the last bond flick - tomorrow never dies.
of course, i have this close friend that helped me form a theory about movies. this was during the time that we used to rent videos based primarily on what the soundtrack music was. not a good thing. we chose videos that had music from bands we liked. of course they ended up being teen flix. we decided that two things were warning signs of mediocre movies:

  • bad camera angles
  • high repetition of the title of the movie
  • none of the first in this movie, and only 1 utterance of the full title. so... it didnt fail by these tests...

i will be pondering what my final thoughts are on las vegas until tomorrow. then i will spout them out here.
