i am going to geekfest 99. i mean COMDEX a huge convention of nerds. its always held in las vegas. it should be interesting. i've never been there, so i've prepared myself with lots of film to capture all the moments. if there are any interesting ones i will definately share them here.

we're supposedly going out there to look for some device thing, but i dont know that anyone is gonna have that. so, i'm guessing it'll really be more of a junket, and we'll see some shows, learn some other interesting facts, and perhaps see a porn star or two hundred.

see, the adult video industry every year has had their convention at the same time as comdex. they both kinda grew into huge conventions together. in vegas. go figure.

i hung out most of the weekend with my friend marie and her friend danielle. they're both moving up here in dec/jan timeframe. marie used to live here as my housemate, and then moved back home to nebraska when her dad was really ill. they stayed at marie's aunt's house, up here to find an apartment, and to job search.

we went last night to see a local band play. propeller. they were ok. i've seen better, and i've seen worse. it was at the uptown bar & grill, and it was free cover. we got stuck sitting in the table up front, and i think my ear is still ringing. the guitarist was totally annoying. all the rock gestures, etc. i mean, i have no problem with rock star gestures when they're in fun,etc... but i think he was serious. like as in... i know i'm the best guitarist ever! *gag* well i guess they were good, but i like bands to do songs w/o huge breaks between each and every song, and well they couldnt string 2 songs together if they're lives depended on it. it was like SONG PAUSE SONG PAUSE the whole set. ook. maybe i'm just too picky. well i know i'm picky. also the style wasnt my taste, but oh well... cant have everyting.
