THE EX is now an auntie for a second time. Congrats to her and her sis!

today my friend M took me to see Dame Edna. a hilarious show. we went with B. we were supposed to be joined by B's girlfriend C, but she had a really horrid migraine. so she skipped out. but it was ok, we all met up after dinner, at M's apartment. M had been wondering when she was gonna meet C, since it had been like 5 attempts that all missed. we were starting to think that C didnt wanna meet M. but that was not the case. i like C. shes really cool.

M, her roommate D and i were chattin about bunches of things after B and C left one of the interesting conversations was about what type of person we pictured ourselves with in the long term. it wasnt as interesting as you might think. especially since i couldnt really answer the question. i ended up saying that what i wanted was a compatible person. compatible in hobbies (shooting pool, liking auto racing - CART Champ Cars), music compatibility (alternative), and so forth...

ok enough boring stuff about my likes. i wanted to congratulate THE GIRL about her new job. she decided to move home a few days ago from toowoomba to townsville. her main impetus for moving home was homesickness. she really missed her folks and things like that. so she went looking for a new job with her company. she found one that actually would be what she wanted to do. very cool for her. i'm happy for her. especially since it makes her much happier. of course, with her being in a new place, one where she was more comfy, i'm sad that i might have less time to chat with her, but she promises that it wont impact it too much.
we'll see. i really think she is a good friend and i would love to be more with her, but the distance is a great divide. hopefully one day soon we'll get a chance to be in the same town and meet each other and see how we get along in person.

i've been doing a lot of thinking in the last few weeks about what i want in life, in work, and in play. lots of interesting possibilities that i need to figure out the implications of.
