went and acquired a shiny object today. a nifty little DVD player. tis quite excellent. tons of information on those little shiny discs. The Matrix is a cool ass movie.

i wanted to write something worthwhile, but that seems to be lost on me at this current juncture. Perhaps i'll just wing it as usual...

I have been immersed into the digital world here for some time now. I've met many wonderful friends through it, and some of those i've even had the opportunity to know better in the real world. you know who you are.

i stand at a crossroads wondering which way to turn. On one side, the world built by mankind. on the other, the world built by nature. neither offers me much comfort at present, but one offers the hope of sociality. I look at this crossroads thinking that i must make a decision eventually, but i decide to just sit down on the deck and await progress.

what i really should do is go out, find a life and live it. instead, i watch the digital world revolve and try and find a life within it. I musta missed the class where one learns to meet and greet people well. i've always been an observer. a follower. a behind the scenes kinda guy. but that expects a life handed to me. not happening. so i must go and find one. i have good friends who will help me to achieve this, to climb out of this nerdvana that i have succumbed to. that is my mission.

perhaps i am just way too picky. i dunno. somehow i set high goals, and perhaps i cannot achieve them. i will try though.
