well lets see. it was a wonderful day today weather wise. we managed to get warm weather here again. how i dunno. cuz i'm not a frickin meteorologist.

i received my mid year review today from my boss. more of the same - be nicer to people asking you questions, be better at supporting the projects they want me to, and here's your promotion. yup. i got my promotion. its sorta a sell out, as they've used the stick and now they're trying the carrot. heeheehee. well i'm happy i finally got the promo. as a friend said, 'its much deserved and much delayed'

THE GIRL starts a long journey tonight. she's drivin home to townsville. its a long drive. hope she gets there safe and sound.

i talked to CUTEGIRL tonight. i decided to call up and see how things were goin for her. shes still super busy and stressed. it sounds like its not just the scheduling stuff, but also a bunch of other things she didnt mention. it was nice though cuz we talked for a long time, even though she had a buttload of things to do for school. nothing really worth mentioning, other than she did raise the possibility that we could go shoot pool, and i said something that i cant believe i said. mainly for the phrasing, not regretting telling her, but the words i used i could slap myself for. let's take a look...
me: "I could help you escape your reality."
CG: "whats that mean?"
me: "i have no idea."
DOH! oh well. i think i recovered cuz afterwards she mentioned the pool thing so that was cool. its nice that we have that hobby in common.
