clomp clomp

the tiring day after a weekend. ugh. its just fun to go back to work. ugh. and i had a mediocre day at work. had a 11-noon meeting which encroached on my normal lunchtime. and then on top of that i ended up eating macdonalds. ugh ugh ugh. grease does not make a body feel good.

my head is achin, my neck is aching, and i'm tired. and yet, i feel like i should write something. so here we go.

isnt it amazing how smells evoke long hidden memories for you? how you can smell the scent of a cinnamony apple pie and think back to another place? for me, one scent, rather a taste that always brings me to good memories is La Choy soy sauce. why you ask? because it reminds me of vacationing in the Florida Keys. how you might wonder? well my parents and i used to go down there and stay in a place where we also had a kitchen. and my dad would go out and buy fresh shrimp, and we'd eat them in various ways, and the one that i remember most is the shrimp with white rice, and then just seasoned if you will with soy sauce. mmmmmm... of course, i really like shrimp and i think my favorite method of preparation is shrimp scampi. mmmmm. garlic!
