squeeze play

its amazing thinking about how different things have become in a dozen years. i mean, college students have cell phones, and access to immense volumes of information via Internet connections in their dorm rooms. kids are learning to play on computers and learning how to use computers at younger ages than ever before. its a wonderous time to be alive i tell you. and yet, we still have stupid wars and disagreements over abstract concepts. this is something i will never get used to.

when i was younger, living under republican presidents like nixon and reagan, i seriously grew up expecting nuclear war. now that i'm grown up, and having just lived through a wonderful 8 years, i dont feel that way any more. heh, my sense of doom and gloom can no longer be envisioned as a nuclear apocolypse, just fears of personal doom. even that is somewhat lessened.
