going back to work after a long weekend where partying occurs, fun partying especially, is extremely difficult. today was no exception. i am sure all of you who experienced the same feelings of work dread. or those of you who went back to school, or started a new year of school. ugh. such bad bad mental energies must have been at work this morning.

but my day did end on a good, but sad note. there was a "congratulations on finishing your master's degree/goodbye" party for a friend who had been periphery for a while now. it was he who wanted to go to the horse races a few weeks ago. it was a nice party since his family was in town for the wedding this weekend, and it was nice to see them all again. they were a blast at the reception, let me tell you.

i think my dog needs attention. til tomorrow...
