yikes. i just realized tomorrow is friday the thirteenth. ohmygawd

i am going to guess that shes not calling back. GROCERGIRL that is. i had called her to see if she was interested in going to see Pat Benatar at the block party, but she was on the phone with a long lost friend. alas. poor yorrick. she did say that she had to work so she couldnt go, but that she wanted to go. and that she'd call me later tonite.

in other girlgroup news, THE GIRL seems to have separated from her boi. i'm not quite sure what that means, but more importantly, how i feel about it. i guess i should be happy that i might have another chance with her, but some how i dont think that she would want that. i could be wrong, but i guess its something that will just have to play out as the world continues its spinning arc.
i also feel somewhat sad for her. break ups suck. and i like her enough and am enough of a friend to her that i know its not a good place for her to be in cuz she's probably somewhat hurt and disappointed in how things turned out.

i went and visited a friend of mine who i hadnt seen in ages. she is this girl who was going to be my housemate twice, but ended up for one reason or another not living here. this last time was because she found out she was preggers. so today i went and had dinner with her, her son, the father, and one of his other sons. it was quite fun, they had prepared this great garlicky beef kabob that was a korean recipe. it was quite nummers, and we had a great time catching up.
