running bands

happy easter! of course when you read this it will be the dreaded monday after easter. oh well. c'est ma vie. had a really really nice easter day. got up, showered, made the finishing touches on the oriental salad - aka put the lettuce and spinach from bags into a bowl, tossed it with the salad dressing, and the mandarin oranges, star fruit and water chestnuts. took it all over to M's aunt C's place, and proceeded to eat for a couple of hours.

had some nummy soft french cheese called boursin. mmmm. esp on these nummer sesame crackers. the 'dinner' itself was nummy honey baked ham, with 2 yummy quiches, my salad and a fruit salad which someone else brought. M & D brought desserts which were GOOD. my salad turned out to be a great hit, so i was quite happy, since i had whipped the damn thing outta no recipe. phew phew phew. had worried that it would just blow and not taste good at all, but it was a good thing when all put together.

just watched 2 cool things on VH1. first was the Billy Idol Behind the Music. i had forgotten how much i liked his music. will hafta go find his best of cd that just came out. yar.
second was this show called bands on the run. its basically a "survivor" done with 4 bands. its kinda cool. i like the 2 bands which are pretty obviously gonna win. well to me its obvious. a band called Harlow, and a band called Flickerstick. I am rooting for Harlow, cuz they're all girls, and i have a soft spot for girl groups... plus i like their music.

ahh... i wanna be in a band. i mean, no i dont. i like my life as it is, but i think i need to kick around with some mates playin music too. well i might get a chance to do it later this summer with my sis and bro-in law who are goin to some gig thing at a friend of theirs in chicago. i think i'll go too. but. but. but. but. it sounds like there'll be some really serious musicians there too, so that should make me feel pretty inadequate.

i mean, more so than normal.
