i went to a chinese buffet with my friend R last nite. it was something i have been wondering about. i've only been to one other chinese buffet, that was a few years ago, when me and the EX went to her folks for christmas. we had lots of crab legs then, so i was curious if that was standard fare. well it was at this one also, so i can guess that it is.
the waitstaff had taken all the claws, and left only the legs themselves. they were still yummy. the weirdest part of it was the place was an old Fudruckers. but they had spent a buncha money on remodeling it, and it looked great. which was interesting. they had decent food too, which is usually important.

the surreal part of the evening, came about when i picked up R - she got into the car and said "just so you know, i've been drinkin" - now keeping in mind that when i called her, she said she was sorta bummin out.

side note: the new john cusack movie looks interesting

so, back to the story. (back in the car) she continues "i had 4 shots of jack daniels" i was amused. so i knew it would be an amusing nite at dinner. and we did have fun. unfortunately, R got really sleepy tired by the end of dinner and so we didnt do anything after dinner. not that i could have thought of anything fun that we'd both want to do.
