locked doors

oops. i made a BIG mistake today. HUGE.
this week i'm out of the office in a training class down in a suburb called Eagan. its about 30 minutes from my house with light traffic and somewhat slick roads. (its been bad drivin weather this week too...) well tonite after class, i went out, started the car, and decided to scrape the ice off the windows. so i closed the car door and cleaned the ice off. well somehow, i managed to lock the door.
now on my car, the keyfob has the lock/unlock dealie, and thats how i usually unlock the car and lock it. i cannot figure out how i managed to lock the door. i either hit the lock manually on the door as i was reaching in to open it, or i managed to trigger the keyfob. either way, my car was sitting running in the parking lot for about 75 minutes as i waited for my spare key to be dropped off by a coworker who lives in that suburb.

ook.

many thanks goes out to M who retrieved my key from my house. (she has a spare house key for emergencies like this one)

the best part of the story is that i got my car open, i got in, and i was able to make it to my haircut JUST IN TIME. woohoo!!!

when your life is experiencing a downpour of crap, you take the small victories.
