ender's game

(the title is a title of a book that is right in front of my face... most of the titles i use are lame and kinda from things here in the room where i write) today went to a great brunch with a buncha friends. at this jazz place called the dakota bar and grill. they have a sunday 'jazz brunch' where they have live jazz and great food. of course, its a bit costly, as most nice sunday brunches are. but, the food was great. they have a 3 course meal - a starter and a desert with whatever entree you choose. the friends i was with had:
  • eggs florentine (like eggs benedict, but with spinach instead of ham)
  • spinach and sausage omlette
  • asparagus and sausage omlette
  • blueberry crepes
  • chicken and dumplings with mushrooms (what i ate)
it was quite nummers. but the bill was a bit much. about $22 a head. but if you ask me, it was worth it, cuz of the starter and desert.

i feel sorta bad, my friend m was saying that we treat her like shes an idiot. in reality, we do. but we're really just teasing her cuz shes an easy target. its really bad when her bf and i gang up on her, which we usually do. gotta work on that.

i should go. i'm writing this as i talk to my friend on the fone and i'm missing about 1/3 of the convo.
