Special - Garbage
I love Garbage. Shirley Manson is the BOMB.
another typical day in paradise. slept in, read, lounged around and dove -
this time on the boat, we went to a great site called Karpata. the one bad
thing was the rolling waves that were there. needless to say, hours later, i'm
still feeling a bit woozy. theres also that phantom feeling that you're moving
on the waves... ooog.
Need to write postcards tomorrow, and post them then too. the week has gone by
quite fast. especially since its actually a much shorter trip than normally.
need to take some more pix too. not that i havent taken pix of most everything
here before. but then again, this is the 16th visit i've made to this place...
i'm wondering what THE GIRL is doing right now. tis 1pm her time on friday,
and i imagine she's working hard, as she usually does.
"cuz i'm still feeling lonely..." - Portishead - "Numb"
its time for me to lament being here without someone. which is really a lament
for not having anyone in my life. Hence the thoughts on THE GIRL, who i really
dont know what we are to each other, other than close friends i mean.
was thinking earlier about how nice it would have been to have GROCERY GIRL
here cuz she knows dutch, and since this is a dutch colony, lots of dutch
visitors come down. plus lots of the groceries are from holland, so some
translational help would be good.
Also had thought how much SPAETZLEGIRL would have liked the diving, and also
the eating - down here we love eating and its the #3 topic of conversation
between people (#1-Dive stories, #2-"where you from?") plus she always likes
new restaurants and dining experiences.
THE EX could tell you how she liked it here. if it wasnt the totally wrong
thing, i woulda invited her. but that would be bad cuz her boy would not
approve. ahhh, but we had a grand old time here, and i can only wish that i
find someone to have as wonderful a time here.

Tonight and the Rest of my Life - Nina Gordon
gah, its amazing to see how my writing changes down here. i dunno if its the
lack of distraction, or the different input device (newton vs powerbook). i
realize that i also say more openly things i usually hold back...
